I went to a wedding this past weekend in the adorable town of Newburyport, MA, for my friend Cameron Spaulding. While I was roaming around in the rain, I found this great wine bottle stopper, which is completely appropriate since Newburyport is a coastal, seafaring town. I am sucker for mermaids / fantastical creature (I grew up watching The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and The Wizard of Oz) so when I come upon them in life, it is a rare and impulse-purchase-driven treat. My unopened wine bottles will thank me in the future.
(and yes... that IS a pig salt shaker next to it.)
