I grew up listening to jazz and am sometimes more familiar with it than modern music. This poster I recently stumbled upon by Martino+Jana is probably the best representation of typographic music I have ever seen. I love the emotion behind it. You can almost hear the song.
Their website is also worth a look (or many). It's a highly inventive way to display digital work.
