The posters for MOMA's new exhibit Tangled Alphabets: León Ferrari and Mira Schendel caught my eye on the subway platform this weekend. From what I have read of the artists, their work focuses on the basic study of language in its most real form, "[introducing] the challenges of life into art as its context." (moma.org) This subject is one of my favorites, as it was the basic focus of my thesis at Pratt, how change over time can positively affect design, or, in this case, how life can be added back into art. I'm planning to check it out this week. Inevitably, more photos to come.
